Birthday
Birthdays are not a particularly Jewish thing. Jews
celebrate births, but not necessarily birthdays. However, in the West
in the twenty-first century, birthdays and birthday parties are a big
thing. They are especially fun for children, although we also enjoy
remembering and celebrating the birthdays of our family members, friends,
and colleagues.
