And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes.” (Deut. 6:6-8) At Prayer For the Saturday morning service in which the weekly portion of the Torah is read, men ~ and in some congregations, women ~ wear a tallit, or prayer shawl. A tallit is worn only at morning services, with one exception: Kol Nidre, which takes place before sundown. |
